Census figures suggest that his blood quantum dilution continues today: Indians have the highest rate of interracial marriage of any ethnic group in the United States, with more than half marrying outside their race, and a congressional study has projected that the percentage of half-blooded Indians will decline from 87% in 1980 to a mere 8% by 2080.
